On June 20th Jules Pancholi joined the 2nd leg of 1moreCycle, cycling from Paris to Geneva over 4 days. The group travelled through Champagne, Burgundy, Chablis, and the Jura Mountains; eventually reaching their destination after 354 miles.
-
On day 1 the group assembled under the Eiffel Tower in Paris at around 9am, ready to set off in a South-Easterly direction towards the historic Fountainebleau for a spot of lunch, before completing their daily cycle to Sens.
-
Day 2 and the group were up early to cycle to Chablis before continuing on the medieval town of Semur-en-Auxois.
-
On day 3 Jules covered 105 miles from Semur-en-Auxois, to the Burgundy Canal, through Nuits St. George, before arriving in Lons-le-Saunier.
-
The final day of the ride; approximately 2050 metres total descent through the Jura Mountains took the group to their final destination, Geneva.
Along the way Jules tweeted his progress, as well as receiving some words of encouragement from our clients. As well as realising that even his bike bag was branded Ultra (it’s a sign)
1moreCycle is a very exciting adventure that started in June 2012. It is a “bike ride” around the world with a new leg enjoyed over a long weekend every year. The ultimate goal is to reach Sydney by 2037 and raise over £1 million for charity along the way.
All funds raised are for 1moreChild; a small charity in Uganda that gives children living in the slum a chance to go to school and flourish into educated adults. All the money raised goes towards tackling the problem, none of it is spent on salaries or admin costs, and all the supporters and volunteers cover their own costs.
